He started out protecting the stage — and ended up owning it. In this episode, hosts Kurt Hoffman and J. David Silva welcome Greg Brooks, dancer, background singer, and official member of Prince and the Revolution. Greg takes us inside one of the most extraordinary journeys in the entire Prince story — from working security alongside Wally Safford to performing in front of sold-out arenas around the world. We talk about his Detroit roots, his dad's life as a local DJ, how a connection through Billy Sparks opened the door to Prince's inner circle, and what it was really like living through the Purple Rain, Parade, and Sign o' the Times eras at the height of Prince's global dominance. Greg also reflects on the brotherhood forged on the road, what it meant to officially join The Revolution in '86, and how he carries the memories of those he's lost — including Wally Safford, Cat Glover, Big Chick Huntsberry, and Prince himself.
